1Malaysia logo on trees

If you have a chance to visit Tawau, then you will notice the trees painted with 1Malaysia logo.

I happened to meet the person yesterday. What a good coincidence on our Merdeka day.

I didn't know at first. But my cousin pointed and said that he's the one who painted the tress.

He was talking to my uncle and showing him some pictures.

...The man behind the paintings is Sabturani Angsa, 64, who retired as senior assistant traffic officer with Malaysia Airlines in 2003. He volunteered to paint 1Malaysia symbols to thank the government for the good life and peace enjoyed by his family.

How can you measure patriotism?

Patriotism is love towards your own country. But I say patriotism is feeling proud. Will you brag about your country to other people.

Or will you entertain your friends in kedai kopi by condemning here and there about our country.

How good are you with history?

Do you still remember Perkara 20 and Rombongan kemerdekaan.

Or you only good with political stories.

Happy Independence Day. 55 years of Merdeka.

credit my cousin Eyen for the pictures.
