Teaching practice tips part 2

Some tips for teaching practice again. kalau nak baca, thank you. kalau tamauu then jangan marah-marah k.

1. Handbag

Handbag kalau boleh jangan kecil atau besar sangat. kalau mau bawa handbag besar macam tote bag ka, briefcase ka, bolehhhh cuma tak perlu bawa ke kelas. kalau masuk kelas lebih baik bawa yang sedap mata memandang. jangan pula bawa kecik sangat smpai kepit sana, sisip situ. in case habis kelas bawa buku laptop, abm, bbm, mana mau kepit lagi handbag tu, beterabur barang-barang nanti. kalau kelas setakat one period, 40 minutes tu, no need la kau heret botol air, make up, ipad semua. bawa seminima mungkin.

2. Handphone

ni memang benda penting la tak kira lelaki ka, perempuan ka. mesti ada dalam bag atau pocket. silentkan phone. kalau ada call or message just ignore. unless you are waiting for an important call. very very very important yee. nanti ada text, you pegi baca pula, then nampak notifications twitter, terupdate facebook, tertangkap gambar, terupdate insteg. nda perlu la update facebook u dalam first class. "in my first class", "teaching for the first time", "my lovely students" whatsoever. perlu? so better elak handphone tu. kalau tinggal di bilik guru lagi bagus. lepas kelas boleh berabis update.

3. A small calendar

Ok i know you could download applications like calendars, public holiday etc in your smartphone. But nothing beats the classic hand-size highlighted calendar. You see, it is important for you to keep a calendar in your wallet just in case your battery is flat. This pocket calendar is very handy and it comes with public and school holiday. Easy for you to plan something or anything related to school's events.manatau la student tanya, cikgu ni bila hantar?. ada calendar senang. again! elakkan tengok phone. that's why saya cadangkan pocket calendar ni.

I guess this might not be relevant in this sophisticated world of everything-is-in-your-smartphone. but at least it would be useful to avoid being distracted.

4. Whiteboard marker and pens.

Talking about what should you bring in class. You need a red and black pen. You don't need the a to z stationary in class.  you don't have to trouble yourself with the bulky pencil case. leave it at your desk. well, if you need it anyway, you could always borrow it from your students. one marker pen should be enough if you are the talking type. if you write, write, write the whole time then might consider bringing two.

5. Smell, smell... smelly

Yeayy, this is important too. since you are working with people all the time. same goes to people who work in bank, market ka. you'll be dealing with 40 students in a class then to some teachers and to another different 40 students. So it is important to avoid smelly discomfort to people. freshen up your breath and put some wangi-wangi. not too much nanti u masuk kelas students u pening.

this Extra from Wringley is less minty, taste more like a chewing gum. you might want to try stronger brand like eclipse.

p/s: tips dari cikgu-cikgu lama, elak personal things unless it is urgent.

hehe very a nice tips I like the perfume one that comment "u dizzy student in class" Yes I agree with that because I experience that before when a teacher in my old class perfume is too strong. I felt like I almost pass out but yea i'm glad it never happens again. ^-^
