Review: 1989

Assalamualaykum and Hello.

I'm here to write my thoughts on Taylor Swifts' latest album, 1989. I gotta say, looking back 20 years from now, this will be one of my favourite record that I'd probably go over and over again. Besides Zedd, 1D, London Grammar, Ellie Goulding etc etc. Well I kinda have never-ending favourite towards music. That is not the point here. 1989 is sick, dope and I love everything about it.

Anyway I'm not a fan of Taylor. I know some of her songs like 15, Back to December, Safe and Sound and that's basically it. I always thought Taylor's songs are too dreamy, ambitious in love, fairytale expectation and just not my cup of tea.

But 1989 is different. I fell hard. When I knew she is going to release a new record "Here we go, probably 15 songs about Harry Styles". She was known for using past relationship as her song writing inspiration and Styles happened to be her recent break up. Is Harry going to be a douchebag in her songs? Womanizer? or maybe the songs will just screams Harry, Harry, Harreeh in your head.

Unpacking the album, you will find:
1. CD case with CD and booklet
2. Collection of her photos. Polaroid style with quotes of her songs lyrics.

The photos are my favourite. I always like vintage, blurry, distorted kind of photo. Although I'm sure it's all down to photoshop. The photographer most probably used the 5D camera or whatever great D out there together with expensive telephoto lenses to take her photo anyway. The effects of the photo are amazing. Her posing is so laid back. Makes you want to have the same kind. I might do it soon.

Song tracks:
1. Welcome to New York
2. Blank Space
3. Style
4. Out of The Woods
5. All You Had to Do Was Stay
6. Shake it Off
7. I Wish You Would
8. Bad Blood
9. Wildest Dreams
10. How You Get The Girl
11. This Love
12. I Know Places
13. Clean
Deluxe Edition (bonus tracks)
14. Wonderland
15. You Are In Love
16. New Romantics
17. I Know Places (Voice Memo)
18. I Wish You Would (Voice Memo)
19. Blank Space (Voice Memo)

My current favourite will be number 3, 4, 9 and 12. I think every song screams Harry Styles. It's too obvious. So boleh la pretend like you have dated Harry while listening to her songs. Gini rupanya feeling breakup dengan Harry. Hikss. I really reckoned you to get and listen to this. It's good, fresh 21st century ish sound, lots of bass drop (it's a thing now right) and the fact that Imogen Heap is one of the producer. Hope you will like it, as much as I do.

Thanks for reading.

Loads of love, anne.

So, it is true that she makes songs about he exes? Except that this one is specifically about that Harry guy haha.

Well, i actually kinda like Taylor Swift too. She seem like a fun person to hang out with lol. And she has long beautiful legs too. :D

Happy Friday, Nuranne!
