Tips: My Beauty Box

Assalamualaykum and hello.

First of all, no... I'm not dead.

This is the longest hiatus I ever had with blogging. The flow wasn't there. I was busy and my meticulousness in choosing the content is just getting more serious. I'm here anyway, so shall we?

Well to start again, let me share what is in my beauty box. It's very minimal. I'm not kidding you. I keep it as simple as possible so that when I need to pack my things up it will be less hassle.

I don't have great skin and it doesn't behave all the time. But it's definitely way better than when the puberty hit  me. When I was 15, I hated my skin so much. Acne, pimple, oil, you name it, everything was there. My skin was a great concerned rather than my maths subject.

My art teacher once said to my class..."Don't worry about your skin, it will get better. I know it doesn't look fine now, but it will go away" and somehow he was staring at me while saying this. Hmmm. Did my skin look that bad? Well, I hold on to his words and yes my skin got better in time.

I hope this post helps some people out there. I know skin can be one's greatest concern.

Here goes nothing:

FACIAL CARE

1. Facial Wash: I am using Simple: Kind to Skin Moisturising Wash. I've been using this product for the past two years and it does all the wonders that I need. Very affordable and you could purchase it in Guardian or Watson.

2. For my eyes, I use Revitalising Eye Roll-On from the same brand.  My irregular sleep pattern causes major issue of eyebags.

3. I use tissue or cotton to wipe my face. I don't like touching my face unless I'm applying makeup or cleaning. Our hands are not as clean as they look like.

4. No, I don't use cream, nightcream, toner or whatsoever. None. Malas.

MAKE UP

1. CC Creme: I'm a devotee to liquid instead of powder. I started with BB Cream 3 years ago and now I've been using CC Cream. My favourite will be Mary Kay CC Cream Sunscreen SPF 15. The light shade is perfect, natural coverage and improve my skin tremendously. But there is one problem, it's a trouble to get this product. It's not available in any makeup store and you have to get it directly from the seller/agent. Then, for the time being I'm using Sephora CC Crème. The only thing I like about this product is the pink shade it does to my skin. Other than that, just a will do foundation cream. I won't recommend you tho.

2. Compact Powder: L'oreal Mat Magique Powder. No solid reason. The casing is in pink colour, So yeahh.

3. Lipstick: Lipsticks are addictive. I love them so much. I'm a sucker for Matte type. But it's not a great fitting for me as I tend to have very dry lips. Albeit these lipsticks give the mattifying effect, classic finishing look in the first hour, towards the end my lips became scaly, badly chapped to a state of bleeding.

4. Eyeshadow: I used to buy and apply eyeshadow a lot. But now I seldom put it into use. So no more. Membazir.

5. Eyebrow: A pointy brush and leftover charcoal-grey eyeshadow. Leftover yang sangat leftover. I think dah expired pun. Haha. I'm not surprise if one day my kening tercabut because of this.

SUPPLEMENT

I'm a paranoid when it comes to extra pills. There's a lot of beauty products or supplements out there. With one convincing verbal testimony people able to sell anything. At the end of the day it's about getting the money so be extra careful when consuming a product. With a very poor eating pattern, I take supplement to make up for it. Up to now, I take Innershine Berry Essence, hair supplement and Calcium. I'm not a discipline person with these, sometimes I skip it.

FRAGRANCE

I teach for life and deal with people most of the time. Thus, a pleasant body odour  is a must. I'm not a picky when it comes to fragrance. Eau de toilette, parfum or just a simple mist makes me ready to go.

I think that's all for now. Sorry if this disappoint you. I don't really have the know-how in facial care or makeup. There's nothing fancy here. Above all, I think the best method is to not overdo it. You'll be fine.

I hope it's not too late to wish everybody Happy Ramadhan.

Lots of love, Anne.
