What Blogging Has Taught Me.

Assalamualaikum and hi.

I was no one in blogging world. Well, I believe that I have passed my shining bright moment as a blogger where scoring backlinks and references were goals. Today, I'm just amuse and satisfy that I haven't close this blog.

Blogging has taught me a lot of things.

1. INTENTION
People understand your writing 360 degrees differently from your original intention. Maybe I'm just a bad storyteller.

2. LANGUAGE
I should watch out my language. As an English teacher, people scrutinize my spelling, grammar and sentences. I received advise saying that I shouldn't mix my language when writing. Still mix with my mother tongue, however I'm far from my earliest writing style. Not only me, but everybody shouldn't be using words or spelling like "preggy" for pregnant or "sissy" for sister. It's wrong and totally gives a different meaning.

3. AKU dan SAYA
I received comments on how I sound kasar, rude by using AKU. Hence I stopped. I understand the difference of language culture. Well I hope "I" is good enough for everybody.

4. BAD COMMENTS
I read, be sad and then filtered.

5. CSS
CSS is HTML presentation. Yes! I learned on customizing my blog by myself. At first, I downloaded a ready template then made major changes. Soon I moved to starting things from scratch. Colours, background, moving objects, layout etc. It was fun. I spend hours making sense of these and when I see my desired result, it was just great satisfaction.

6. PEOPLE ACTUALLY READ
It was the final day of my teaching practice. So I spend the last 10 minutes exchanging contact information with my form 2 kids and I let them know my blog address. One of the girl looked surprised because she's been reading and totally clueless about the author. I didn't know whether to feel happy or not. Now, my blog address is clearly on my instagram, so it's pretty much out there.

7. TO BE CAREFUL
I think I'm being wayyy too careful that I stop writing.

8. CHERISHING GOOD MOMENTS
I used to post stuff here because I want to remember things, how I felt, my thoughts. But now, I'm reluctant to go personal. I guess a private person and a blogger at the same time doesn't make a good tango. Well, we'll see. Maybe one or two personal post won't harm.

9. CREATIVITY
Yes! I owe lots to my blogging years. Making my ways around the internet. Discovering talent. Discovering ways to discover talent.

10. TO FIND INSPIRATION
This is a never ending journey. To find inspiration and improving myself.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for the critics and praises.

Thank you for the love.

Thank you for the seven years.

Anne.
